Artist Statement

Through the delicate art of rock balancing, I strive to captivate and inspire viewers with a sense of awe and amazement. As a rock artist, I meticulously select stones from the ocean, carefully considering their shape, size, and texture. These rocks, seemingly defying gravity, come together to create sculptures that appear naturally balanced, evoking an otherworldly sense of harmony.

My artistic journey extends beyond the ephemeral moments of beachside entertainment. I also produce fine art photography prints, capturing the intricate details and unique compositions of my rock formations. These prints serve as a testament to the fleeting beauty and delicate balance achieved in my work.

What sets my art apart is the ability to create permanent sculptures that maintain their balance over time. Utilizing stainless steel pins and epoxy, I secure the carefully chosen rocks onto sturdy bases, often made of poured cement molds. This meticulous process ensures that my sculptures retain their ethereal appearance, seemingly untouched by human intervention.

Within the negative spaces of my rock formations, one can discern shapes and familiar forms, such as people, animals, and objects. This interplay between texture, negative space, and recognizable forms adds depth and intrigue to my work, inviting viewers to explore and discover hidden narratives within the stones.
